Mix It Up - Escape Room Game Mix & Match

If you're asking trivia questions in person, then you can mix it up by combining questions with other simple games. For example, if you can answer a trivia question correctly, then you get to add an 'x' to the tic tac toe board.

Here's a list of simple games to inspire your next escape room game at home:

Tic Tac Toe - You only need a pencil/pen and paper....and the right answer. To play, create a grid on paper. Once someone answers a trivia game correctly, then they get to add an 'x' or an "o" to board. If you don't answer the trivia question correctly, then you skip your turn on the board.

Hide and Seek - A classic game that can be played inside or outside, or both! You can hide the questions and answers around the house rather than finding and seeking people. Everyone playing will have to match the answers to the correct question. This is fun and chaotic at the beginning then requires teamwork to match the questions and answers, just like the required teamwork to escape a room at Mastermind.

Indoor Bowling - While it's not ideal to bowl at home without all the fancy things at an alley, you can play at home. Line up some bottles or milk cartons and throw a ball. You can only throw after you get the answer correct. It might take a little teamwork to get in the game going, but it can be very engaging for a long time.
